Of Land & Women: Help us Plant 1 Million Trees by 2025

Of Land and Women is our initiative to benefit female coffee farmers and the land where they work by planting 1,000,000 trees by 2025.

HOW KULA IS AN ADVOCATE OF LAND & WOMEN

Since 2018, 936 women have participated in Kula’s Fellowship Program, and as a result are tripling their income and nearly doubling their coffee production on average.  Through a combination of sustainable agriculture training and climate change mitigation techniques, personal mentorship and business investment and training, they have the skills, mindset and resources to create a vision, nurture their land, and grow their businesses beyond what they thought possible.

One of the key aspects of our program is tree planting.

Providing coffee and agri-forestry trees, along with training and support to care for them well, is vital to farmers increasing their productivity and profit, while simultaneously protecting and investing in their physical environment in the process.

To date we have planted 600,000 trees across 3 regions in Rwanda,
and we are currently preparing 250,000 more trees for distribution this November.

For the month of October, to celebrate the women who grow this coffee, we ask for your support to plant 100,000 trees.
