Integrated Pest & Disease Management

As part of our Fellowship curriculum, farmers learn the fundamentals of Integrated Pest and Disease Management. A holistic approach to understanding and controlling potential pest and disease problems by viewing healthy soil as the first line of defense against unwanted intruders, this training also teaches low-cost, organic methods of prevention. While simple, this method of pest control is far too often overlooked. Our agronomists, however, believe that it can be one of the most helpful perspectives that farmers can adopt – saving them money in the short term, and supporting overall farm and biodiversity health in the long term.
